From its founding in October 1959 to the present, Friends of Weston association has been dedicated to the restoration and maintenance of the historic house, outbuildings and grounds that preserve Weston’s history and value as a Virginia and National Landmark museum. Today visitors can observe rural Virginia life from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, thanks to the contributions from hundreds of contributors over the past half century.

Donors to Friends of Weston receive the annual newsletter which includes updates on projects, events and historical research. In September, Friends are welcomed to a tea where one can leisurely enjoy the house and grounds just as was done by the many guests of the Nourse family. Please consider joining Friends of Weston with an annual, fully tax-deductible 501 (c)(3) contribution.

The before (above) and after (right) photos below show the preservation of the 1840’s Slave and Farm Workers Cabin, financed by donations.
